A California bakery finds humor in dark times after her home burns down fires continue in Los Angeles.

Erin McKenna took to Instagram on Thursday, January 9, to show her husband packing their family’s belongings during the evacuation.

“Here’s everything my husband took before evacuating,” the vegan and gluten-free pastry chef began in the video, holding up each dish as she continued.

“His velvet blazer, two bras for me, two robes for me without a belt, a whole suitcase for him,” bakery owner Erin McKenna described.

Of course, he didn’t just pack random clothes, McKenna explained, revealing that he also grabbed an assortment of items for their three children. “My daughter’s play script, trophies, grocery bags, an empty suitcase, all his guitars,” the cookbook author said.

To pay tribute, McKenna displayed a stuffed rabbit with a blanket and proclaimed, “It’s fair.” “And actually, a sweatshirt too,” she added.
