Woman seriously injured after crash near Stewartville, alcohol likely – ABC 6 News

(ABC 6 News) – A woman was seriously injured after a crash Friday near Stewartville, authorities said.

According to the Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), deputies responded to the crash in the 5200 block of County Road 139 SE at 2 a.m.

The caller reportedly found his friend who had been thrown from the vehicle after the crash. The driver and sole passenger were identified by OCSO as a 32-year-old Stewartville woman.

The woman was seriously injured in the accident, authorities said.

She was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which is under investigation, according to OCSO.

Stewartville Fire Department and Mayo Clinic EMS responded to the scene.
