Jamie Lee Curtis shared an emotional update with fans after announcing that she “community and maybe my home” was “burning”.

Later Wednesday, Curtis shared an update on the fire’s impact on her neighborhood. Video taken from inside the car showed burned buildings and destroyed structures still smoldering under the smoke.

As Halloween the actress showed in her post, her house passed. “Our favorite neighborhood is gone,” Curtis wrote in the caption Instagram post. “Our home is safe. Many others lost everything. Help where you can. Thank you to the first responders and firefighters. @americanredcross.”

One fan, who wrote that their sister lived in the same neighborhood, was “trying to find out if her house survived.” Another remarked that the area looked “like a war zone” in the footage.
