Two teenagers have died in a house fire in Coventry

SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – Two teenagers died in a house fire in Coventry early Wednesday.

Coventry Fire Chief Adam Rokich said an elderly woman who is being treated in the burn unit at Akron Children’s Hospital was also injured in the fire.

The blaze broke out around 3 a.m. in the 600 block of Cove Boulevard. in the Portage Lakes area.

Chief Rokich said a Summit County sheriff’s deputy was the first on the scene and tried to enter the home, but the flames were too intense.

Both teenagers were found in bedrooms on different floors.

The cause of the fire is being investigated, and the Ohio Fire Department was called to the scene.
