As a result of the shooting in Union Springs, two teenagers were killed and three others were injured

Two teenagers were killed and three others were injured in a weekend shooting in Union Springs, authorities said Tuesday.

Agents with the Alabama State Bureau of Law Enforcement Investigations responded to the 300 block of Waugh Street in Union Springs around 3 a.m. Saturday for reports of a shooting involving multiple victims.

The FBI is investigating at the request of the Union Springs Police Department.

Agents said two victims died in the incident: 19-year-old Adrian Tarver Benton of Auburn died at the scene and 19-year-old Union Springs resident David Benton died at a local hospital.

Three other people, who have not been released, were taken to a local hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
