Gainesville man arrested after allegedly causing multiple crashes while fleeing the scene

A Gainesville man was arrested Monday after allegedly causing “several” crashes on Browns Bridge Road during morning rush hour.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the first collision happened around 8 a.m. when the driver, 32-year-old Brandon Quertez Goss, was traveling on Browns Bridge Road and crossed the center line of the roadway. This caused it to crash into a Ford F-250 traveling in the other direction.

“That pickup started to spin counterclockwise and it hit a westbound pickup that was actually driving behind Mr. Goss,” HCSO spokesman BJ Williams said. “Mr. Even after those accidents, Goss set himself to travel west.”

Goss’ car was disabled after he hit another car while traveling the wrong way.

Goss fled the scene and during a brief search, the HCSO K-9 team found him hiding under a porch on Holland Drive.

He was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, two counts of hit and run, no insurance, driving with a suspended license and driving with a suspended tag.

Goss is currently being held in the Hall County Jail on an $18,660 bond.

There were no casualties as a result of the collisions.
