ABC7 Chicago was on the scene as police investigated a burglary at a vape shop at Irving Park Road and Ashland Avenue.

The owner told ABC7 this isn’t the first time his store has been robbed.

Chicago police have not confirmed the burglary, but said a hit-and-run involving a CPD patrol car took place at the scene.

Police approached three men in a white Dodge Durango near the scene around 3:47 a.m

As officers approached, the driver reversed, struck a CPD patrol car and drove off.

One officer was taken to the hospital for evaluation and is expected to be OK. The second officer refused medical attention.

No one is in custody.
