State trooper charged after prosecutors say he was driving drunk in Tewksbury crash

A Massachusetts State Police trooper was arraigned Monday after authorities say he was driving drunk and crashed into a car Sunday night.

Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan said James Doran, 28, was arraigned in Lowell District Court on a charge of operating while intoxicated.

He was released on personal recognizance with the condition of not drinking alcohol and giving up his rights, the district attorney said. He is due back in court on December 6.
