Credibility AWOL as MSNBC airs Nazi footage from Trump rally

MSNBC boosted its credibility on Sunday by splicing footage from a 1939 Nazi rally at Madison Square Garden to compare with Donald Trump’s campaign rally at the same location.

“But the jamboree that’s going on right now, you see it there on your screen in that place, is particularly frightening because in 1939, over 20,000 supporters of another fascist leader, Adolf Hitler, filled the Garden for a so-called pro-American rally. “, the host said over the footage.

It removed any doubt that the mainstream media was an arm of the Democratic Party.

Politicians and left-wing pundits have long criticized the former Republican president as a fascist, a dictator and a “threat to democracy.” This is what they do. You can say that criticism of Trump is a source of “joy”.

The 2024 election is a study in divisiveness, as each party fires back at the other over immigration, the economy and other issues that matter most to voters. We’ve come to expect it — just not from supposedly respectable news sources.

Critics have picked up on Trump’s characteristic pomposity, excessive rhetoric and the extremely ill-advised decision to have comedian Tony Hinchcliffe perform a disgusting first episode in which he called Puerto Rico a “floating island of trash.” The Trump campaign took Hinchliffe’s comment into account: “This joke does not reflect the views of President Trump or the campaign,” spokeswoman Danielle Alvarez said in a statement.

It didn’t matter. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (DNY) called Sunday night’s event a “hate rally,” a sentiment shared by the usual Trump suspects.

However, conservatives undermined the network. “Yesterday’s Trump rally was packed with Americans from all walks of life, including Orthodox, Conservative, Reform and secular Jews. I saw a woman in a burqa. It was nothing like a Nazi rally. Shame on MSNBC,” user X wrote @amuse. Elon Musk, speaking at the rally, slammed the Nazi hiring move at X: “Wow, MSNBC is full of scum.”

What MSNBC fails to understand is that in its editorial, its coverage of the presidential candidate’s rally as resembling a Nazi rally, it painted Trump supporters with the same brush as Hillary Clinton did with her label of “deplorables” in in 2016.

People support and vote for Trump as an antidote to Joe Biden’s wasteful, inflation-driven, border-opening policies and the impact of asylum and housing that the influx of migrants has had on host communities. It also appeals to those who feel slighted and ignored by progressive elites who take their taxes and give little in return.

MSNBC just called them all Nazis together.

While November 5th is the finish line for this election (though realistically it will take days or even weeks to declare a winner), MSNBC’s blatant move to support Kamala Harris will have ramifications far beyond any acceptance speech. The network has told America that it has an agenda, and it’s not unbiased, balanced journalism.

However, Trump supporters are used to calling them outcasts. If anything, MSNBC only proved how far the partisan rot has spread.

Voters and viewers will not forget this.
