Oktibbeha Co. Man. pleaded guilty to shooting at a home

OCTOBER COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An Octibbeha County man will spend 30 years in prison for a fatal shooting.

Cedric Beckum pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and domestic shooting.

The shooting happened in June 2021 on Bethel Road.

28-year-old Arshuntai Brown died on the spot. They are believed to have been a couple at the time.

Beckum was initially charged with second-degree murder.

His two pleas must be served consecutively.
