Police believe the father took the missing River Rouge teenager and fled to Florida

RIVER ROUGE, MI – the police believe the missing River Rouge teenager his father dropped him off at a McDonald’s and they are believed to be headed to Florida.

The family of 13-year-old Christopher Brown Jr. reported that he was last seen at 10:07 a.m. on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the McDonald’s located at 10995 West Jefferson Avenue in River Rouge.

They believe that he is “in immediate danger.”

The boy was last seen tying his bike to a bike rack outside the restaurant, police said. He went inside briefly and then came out after about a minute.

Cameras captured him getting into the front passenger seat of a dark-colored Chevrolet Tahoe with Florida license plate DSM1544.

River Rouge police said the Tahoe was registered to Brown Jr.’s father, 58-year-old Christopher Allen Brown.

Brown Sr.’s parental rights were terminated in August “due to an incident of child abuse,” officials said.

They called him the person involved in the disappearance of his son. He has ties to Georgia, Alabama and Florida.

Police said the Tahoe was last seen in Toledo and they believe it was headed to Florida.

Christopher Brown Jr. is between 5’2″ and 5’4″ tall and weighs around 175 pounds. He was last seen wearing a red armband, a black jacket, red shorts and brown boots.

Officials consider Brown Sr. to be dangerous and said members of the public should not approach him. If you see him, call the police.
