The man pleaded guilty to the triple shooting

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) – The suspect in a triple shooting in Winchester has pleaded guilty.

Zachary Rankin-Lyle pleaded guilty Monday morning to three counts of first-degree assault while under severe emotional distress resulting from the assault and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, court officials said.

The shooting happened on Ashland Avenue in March 2022. Three people survived after being shot in a car.

As part of the plea deal, Rankin-Lyle was recommended to serve 15 years in prison.

His official sentence will be announced on December 5.
