Internet conservatives were quick to pounce on the Minnesota governor. Tim Waltz after he deleted a tweet containing embarrassing football terminology.

On Sunday afternoon, Walz and the New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez played Madden NFL 25 football game live on Twitch. To promote the stream, they both posted clips on their respective social media accounts.

Playing against each other, they discussed various social issues, calling on the audience to vote. Two too reacted live a comedian Tony Hinchcliffe controversial comments at Donald Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally.

However, in one now-deleted tweet, Waltz appears to have gotten the football term badly wrong.

“@AOC can run a middle pick 6 — and I can call the audio during the game,” Waltz said. “And we both know that when you find time to make a play, you use it.”

For football fans, the phrase “pick 6” can seem clumsy because it doesn’t really make sense. “Pick 6” is the term used to describe a defensive back who makes an interception — or a pick — and returns it for a touchdown. The use of the word “run” implies that this is a set play as opposed to a sudden loss.

Naturally, Walz was roasted for strange phrases. Some have even questioned his football resume.
