Sheriff of Loudoun Co. talks about Sterling’s double homicide arrest, Halloween safety tips

Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman has announced a major arrest in connection with a double homicide in Sterling, Virginia. An 18-year-old member of the MS-13 gang was arrested for the murder of two 22-year-old victims. Sheriff Chapman emphasized the importance of this arrest in curbing gang violence in the area.

Sheriff Chapman also addressed the presence of the new Tren de Aragua gang in Loudoun County. He discussed their influence and reach, urging gang members to reconsider their actions.

On the subject of overdoses among minors, Sheriff Chapman noted progress since last year’s multiple overdoses of students at Park View High School. He noted that efforts were made to reduce these numbers.

A major child safety awareness event is planned for this weekend and the community is encouraged to get involved. As Halloween approaches, Sheriff Chapman reminded residents that safety should be a top priority during the festivities.
