Conor McGregor trolls Jake Paul, offers two opponents after Mike Tyson fight

There is no love lost between Jake Paul and Conor McGregor.

Fighting big names and retired boxers, McGregor always seemed to be on the list of UFC stars for Paul, looking to make a bigger name for himself in boxing with a victory over the former two-division champion.

But that remains to be seen, as Paul has knocked down UFC fighters McGregor has faced before, including McGregor killer Nate Diaz, who he defeated by decision last year.

Following his decision victory over 58-year-old “Iron” Mike Tyson during Netflix’s first-ever live sports event on Friday in Arlington, Texas, Paul was asked what’s next in his as-yet-unpredictable career. ery boxer with McGregor rival.

“He’ll never do it, though,” Paul said of the possibility of a McGregor matchup. “First of all, he has a contract (with the UFC). He is not his own boss. Second, he won’t do it. He knows better.”

Weight classes, sports and promotions outside of Paul is McGregor, who has never been one to entertain a fight like many of his fellow UFC stars have been. Like Paul, McGregor has called for many superfights in the sport of boxing, winning just one payday against the legendary Floyd ‘Money’ Mayweather in 2017 – a career high for ‘The Notorious’.

“It’s funny to say, ‘Yo, Conor McGregor is afraid of Jake. Paul will never box him,’ but it’s true,” the 27-year-old influencer continued. “Watch him fight Nate Diaz, who was easy work for me. It was like sparring on Monday to beat the a** out of Nate Diaz. That’s why he never wants to smoke with me. It will never happen.”

Having made the same offer to Nate Diaz earlier, Jake Paul suggested that McGregor face him in MMA, if not in the boxing ring.

“Dear Conor, I know you told my team that you would fight me at 170 pounds. This will never happen. But let’s run it in MMA. No weight category. Just like it was done before. But you won’t,” wrote Paul. to McGregor on X.

During a night of tweets and takedowns, McGregor released two posts, one in response to Paul’s post-fight appeal. Unfortunately for Paul, McGregor has no interest in fighting him just yet, but he has an opponent in mind for the American – someone older than his last opponent, Mike Tyson.

“Nakisa already called me, boy. This guy is next for you. Good luck my friend,” McGregor wrote in a since-deleted post with a photo of 82-year-old Senator Mitch O’Connell.

Earlier this year, Senator O’Connell went viral for “freezing” on two separate occasions, pausing for more than 30 seconds after being asked a question — McGregor chose to post a photo of one of those moments.

Another online jab from McGregor sparked further controversy as the UFC superstar jokingly suggested Paul meet Prichard Colon – a famous boxer who suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2015, losing his speech and livelihood due to his disability.

“They are looking at Prichard Colon as their next opponent,” McGregor wrote in another since-deleted post.

McGregor, 36, was furious over the comment, trying to shame Paul for having fought older fighters for most of his career, no older than 58-year-old Mike Tyson. Although the Irishman probably couldn’t help but mention Colon, one of the darkest stories in martial arts today.
