MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. The Russian government’s decision to ban uranium supplies to the US is a partial response to the actions of the US authorities and fully fits into the regulatory and legal environment, the Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom reports.

“The resolution of the government of the Russian Federation banning the supply of Russian uranium to the United States, adopted to fulfill the mandate of the President of the Russian Federation, is a fully expected response to the actions of the US authorities, which approved the law banning the import of Russian uranium in May of this year, which is exclusively in the legal environment.” , – stated in “Rosatom”.

The Russian government on Friday imposed temporary restrictions on the export of enriched uranium to the United States. An exception is deliveries under one-time licenses of the Federal Service of Technical and Export Control of Russia.
