The Detroit Lions are not a threat to the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Washington Commanders to move into first place in the NFC East after their win last night.

The result puts the Eagles in second place in the NFC Detroit Lions. The Lions have an NFC-best 8-1 record and are considered by many pundits to be the best team in the conference.

Appearing on FS1’s ‘The Facility’ on Thursday, ex lions backup quarterback Chase Daniel explained why he would take lions over the Eagles in a head-to-head matchup.

“The best team in the NFC, without a doubt, is the Detroit Lions,” Daniel said. “I don’t care about Jared Goff’s five interceptions, I don’t care that they barely beat a team they should have beat. I don’t care about that. Philly is not battle tested to me and I will say that Philly really doesn’t have a quality win.”

However, the Eagles lack a real victory Thursday could take this place. In defeating the Commanders, they dominated defensively against Rookie of the Year favorite Jayden Daniels.

Meanwhile, the Lions picked up road wins over a pair of divisional opponents in the playoffs, along with wins over Arizona and Houston.

However, Daniel believes that lions have a much more detailed resume when it comes to being the best team in the NFC right now.

“When you talk about the hierarchy in the NFC, in my opinion, it’s the Lions and then everybody else,” Daniel explained. “Because (the Eagles) didn’t show what they’re capable of against good teams.”

Daniel’s opinion is shared by former NFL wide receiver TJ Houshmandzadeh, who also believes that lions are at the top of the NFC food chain. Like Daniel, he cited the fact that the Eagles lack a signature victory.

“They can’t touch the Detroit Lions. Like what my eyes say. You watch these two teams play and it’s not that close,” Houshmandzadeh said. “The Detroit Lions are a much better football team. When was the last time we saw a team throw five interceptions that really should have been four because of a Hail Mary, five turnovers and still win the game? That doesn’t happen in the National Football League.”

Looking at the Lions’ performance compared to the rest of the league, Houshmandzadeh proclaimed that lions had no equal in this element. Based on total works as well as vision testing, Detroit continues to win over audiences.

“My eyes are telling me that the Detroit Lions (comparison) isn’t even apples and oranges, it could be apples and beans,” Houshmandzadeh said. “The Detroit Lions can run the ball, they shoot the ball. What can the Eagles do? They can do the same thing, but they can’t shoot the ball with the same efficiency as the Detroit Lions.
