Voices for Hope benefits Omega House – OutSmart Magazine

The Omega House “Voices of Hope” charity evening was held at the River Oaks Avenue 360 ​​Health and Wellness Country Club.

He was the host for the evening Deborah Duncananchor of Houston’s KHOU-11 Big Day.

President and CEO of Avenue 360 Dr. Charlene Flash welcomed the audience, and then Luke Whitney opened the evening.

Awarded the “Harmony of the Heart” award in Kenneth J. Bohan, CPC, CTSa longtime member of Avenue 360’s Bering Omega Asset Board, for his decades of dedication and support to the community.

The three recipients of this year’s Symphony of Service Award, which recognizes those who organize acts of service and giving, were Gus Krucke, MD, Mark Nichols, DDSand Sandy Stacey, RN.

Dr. Kruke, an associate professor at the UT Health Science Center, has provided compassionate care as medical director at Bering Omega HIV/AIDS Hospice for 35 years.

Dr. Nichols joined Bering Dental Clinic in 1987 and served as Director of Dental Services at Avenue 360 ​​Health and Wellness.

Sandy Stacey has been providing care for people living with HIV and their loved ones for almost 30 years. Sandy began her career at Omega House Hospice as a Team Leader of Health Care Professionals and later became Director of Nursing. In 2015, she became the director of the Omega House hospice.

After the award ceremony, the guests were treated to a performance by the headliner Christina Wellsand danced to the beats of DJ Freddy B to end the night.
