Lancaster County mother charged with giving sons gun used in shootout

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) – A Lancaster County mother has been charged with allegedly giving her teenage sons firearms that were used in a shootout at a house party.

Brandy Wiseman was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and lewdness of a minor, all misdemeanors.

The teenagers, 17-year-old Alexander Wisman and 16-year-old Joshua Wisman, were charged like the adults in the September shooting in the city. According to the Lancaster County District Attorney, their case has also been transferred to county court.

The district attorney’s office says the teenagers told police their mother let them take the guns whenever they wanted and provided a key to access the guns.

Brandi Wiseman is also accused of telling the teenagers where the gun was during the shooting of two men in the 300 block of East New Street.

Oleksandr Wisman has also been charged separately an unrelated homicide case where his cousin Matthew Wiseman was drugged and thrown over a bridge. Two others, Stephen Gaddis and Jeremy Absher, have been charged in the case.
