Indian River County Sheriff Warns of Scammers Posing as Deputies in Loan Scams

According to the IRCSO, these scammers contact victims, falsely claiming that there are warrants against them and demanding payment.

Officials urge residents to remember that legitimate law enforcement agencies will never ask for money over the phone.
