Dave Portnoy Shares Brianna Chickenfree’s Breakup With ‘Insecure Child’ Zach Bryan

During a recent speech by the founder of Barstool Sports on “The Show Without a Title”, he recalled two negative events with 28-year-old Brian that left a bad taste in his mouth. The first one apparently took place in Las Vegas last February.

Per Portnoy, 47, and other hosts of the “BFFs” podcast. Josh Richards were going to meet 25-year-old Lapaglia at Brian’s concert. However, Lapalya called them with bad news. (LaPaglia, Portnoy and Richards host the BFFs podcast.)

“She’s like, ‘Zach banned you from the concert,'” Portnoy recalled during the Thursday, Oct. 24, episode. “I guess Zack came back—how many months was that—must have been, maybe six months. Back in the day on ‘BFFs,’ we discussed how Brie just got a new boyfriend.”

During August 2023 episode “BFFs,” Portnoy called LaPaglia a “revolving door” relationship when discussing her dating history. (She and Brian began dating in July 2023 after both went through breakups.)

Portnoy explained this on Thursday Brian saw this clip which led to the ban.

“Brie said, ‘This is the first big fight we’ve been in,'” he recalled, noting that “this is what we do” on the BFFs podcast. “We’re kidding, what are you angry about?”

The second “delicate” situation between Lapalia and Brian happened after she gave an interview on the red carpet. (Portnoy noted that he was given the “green light” to share these stories publicly.)

“Brie goes, for example, to Golden Globe and Zak is not there. I think Brie, I’m paraphrasing, was doing a red carpet interview,” Portnoy explained, recalling that LaPaglia named a “famous, gorgeous celebrity” she was excited to meet at the event.

“She said, ‘He’s handsome’ or ‘Yeah, he looks good.’ (Zach) unfollowed Bry on social media, blocked “best friends,” Portnoy said, calling Bry an “insecure kid.”

“He just seemed like a really immature, insecure kid,” Portnoy continued. (Us Weekly (has reached out to Brian’s team for comment.)

Portnoy spent time with Bryan in July when he attended a Boston date (and sang “Revival” on stage) Excursion “China Time”.. The Barstool founder said Brian was “nice” but the vibe was “off.”

Portnoy’s quotes in defense of his collaborator LaPaglia came after news that she and Bryan had split earlier this week. Bryan confirmed their breakupafter more than a year of communication together, with the publication of Instagram Stories. LaPaglia ever since claimed she was “blindsided” by announcement and took a break from the Internet.

“How can you give everything you feel to someone and then have them reject you days later,” she said in a YouTube video uploaded on Tuesday, October 22. “It’s really, really painful and I don’t I don’t want to talk about the details right now.”

Us Weekly contacted Brian and LaPaglia during the breakup. The source later reported us that she is “devastated” after seeing his apparent Rai profile.

“They just moved in together in the spring and she’s changed her whole life to accommodate him,” the source said. “He denied all the allegations but still agreed that they should separate.”
