A Central Pennsylvania man has been charged with resisting arrest after a domestic incident

A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged after he got into an argument with a woman early Friday morning in Lancaster County, the authorities said.

Seth I. Weaver was charged with simple assault, criminal mischief, resisting arrest and disarming a law enforcement officer without lawful authority, according to Elizabethtown Borough police.

Police arrived at the home just before 1 a.m. after they received a report from a woman who told a dispatcher that Weaver had assaulted her at a home in the 400 block of South Market Street in Elizabethtown.

At the scene, the police found a woman with signs of physical injuries.

Officers also found Weaver hiding in an attic closet. After the officers ordered Weaver, he did not comply with their orders, according to police.

Police said they had to Taser Weaver several times to take him into custody because he grabbed the officer’s Taser while resisting arrest.

Weaver was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and disarming a law enforcement officer without lawful authority.

His preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 13, according to online court documents.
