Two juveniles have been arrested in an alleged series of crimes in Crossroads, downtown

KANSAS CITY, Missouri. Kansas City, Missouri, police officers arrested two juvenile suspects over the weekend who are believed to be involved in a “massive” string of burglaries in downtown and the Crossroads Arts area, the department said Monday.

Police said the couple is wanted for theft from vehicles and theft of vehicles on the property. Foot operations and additional tactical teams were used to apprehend the pair.

In a post on a social networkpolice said two juveniles were allegedly carrying stolen property, including a stolen firearm, at the time of their arrest.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and could lead to more arrests.

“It was a great team effort between the units to find and apprehend these criminals,” the department said in a statement on social media.

A Jackson County District Court juvenile officer filed charges in connection with the case, but details of the charges were not available.
