Man who expected to be tied up for sex on the beach was hit with an ax instead: police

A Florida woman and her boyfriend are accused of attacking a man with an ax after the woman told him she would tie him up and have sex with him on the beach, authorities said.

Wayne Streeter, 24, of Ormond Beach, and Alana Cagle, 18, of Daytona Beach, were arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, online court records show.

The strange situation caught the attention of authorities on Saturday, October 30, at 8:34 p.m., when a Volusia County sheriff’s deputy was seen by a “frantic, shirtless man” yelling at cars in Ormond Bay. -More, according to an affidavit obtained by PEOPLE.

The man, who was bleeding profusely from his right leg and other parts of his body, said he was jumped on the beach by two people, later identified as Streeter and Cagle, affidavits state.

The victim told the deputy he agreed to come to the beach with Cagle so she could “tie him up on the beach and have sex with him,” according to the affidavit.

He said Cagle picked him up in her Subaru between 6 and 7 that night and drove him to Bicentennial Park on Ocean Shore Blvd., where they walked through the beach access area.

While they were on the beach, the victim said he began to feel “strange vibrations” from Cagle because she was sitting about five feet away from him, the affidavit states.

Cagle began tying his legs with the yellow rope she had brought with her. Still feeling “weird,” the victim “said no and they weren’t going to do it,” according to the affidavit.

At that point, the victim said he saw a man dressed in black walking toward him and Cagle in the dark, the affidavit said.

The victim began to untie the rope, but Cagle jumped on his feet. After fighting her off, the victim tried to run, but the man, later identified as Streeter, grabbed him and began choking him, according to the affidavit.

“Under observation like an axe,” Cagle jumped up and began to beat the victim all over the body.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with small cuts to his left leg and kneecap, long cuts to his abdomen and deep cuts to his right knee, leg and upper back.

Streeter told the deputy that he and Cagle were boyfriend and girlfriend and had gone to the beach alone, the affidavit alleges.

Streeter said he began punching the victim after “he observed (the victim) push Cagle but did not know how she was pushed,” according to the affidavit.

Both were arrested that night and released the next day after posting $5,000 bail each, online court records show.

It is not clear if they have hired lawyers to represent them.
