Ben Affleck and Matt Damon revealed why they are growing beards together

There’s nothing like a matching beard to cement a bromance. Just ask Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

In a new interview with Extra TV which was released on November 4, the stars, producing partners and best friends revealed that they now have more balls in their upcoming Netflix film, RIP.

“We are in the center of the matter. That’s why we have beards,” Damon said of working on the crime thriller.

“Everything you need to know, you can see right here,” Affleck joked.

Over the past few months, the stars have been slowly growing out their facial hair for what is now known as their new film.

On September 30, 54-year-old Damon was photographed at the premiere McNeill in New York with a simple beard and mustache. And a few months after his breakup with Jennifer Lopez Last August, Affleck, 52, was seen arriving at his Los Angeles office from disheveled appearance after a clean-shaven face in the summer.

Details RIP not yet made public. but, according to Netflix, the project is created by the Oscar-winning company Artists Equity, written and directed by Joe Carnahan. In addition to Affleck and Damon, it also stars Teyana Taylor, Nestor Carbonell, FlashSasha Kalle and A quiet nightCatalina Sandino Moreno.

“Artists Equity, we’ve done eight movies in a few years, and this is our first partnership with Netflix,” Affleck said. Extraadding that they “figure out” the small details.

“We are all very happy. We have a great cast and we really actually I am looking forward to the release of the film,” he added.

Affleck and Damon recently collaborated Little things like that (with Cillian Murphy) and a wrestling biopic Unrestrained, which depicts Lopez as the subject Anthony RoblesJudy’s mother.

Talking to Entertainment Tonight months after his breakup with Lopez, Affleck praised the game of his ex-wife. “Jennifer is amazing,” he said in a November interview, also praising the rest of the cast for their work on the film, which premiered on Toronto Film Festival in September

“Unrestrained it’s a very different film than that, but in a way it’s just as rooted in the passion of really talented artists and (director) Billy Goldenberg, Jennifer and Don Cheadle and Jarel (Jerome) and Bobby Cannavaleand they were all very excited about the movie,” Affleck said.

“It kind of speaks to certain things I think that appeals to us, which is that we really believe in the power of storytelling when the people involved in it are deeply emotionally connected to the story,” he added.
