Oregon State Police are looking for a suspect in a car chase

OREGON, Ill. (WIFR) – Police in Oregon are looking for a driver who they say led law enforcement on a chase before abandoning the vehicle.

Around 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 3, Oregon State Police said an officer saw a vehicle traveling 66 mph in a 40 mph zone heading east on E. Washington Street.

An officer attempted to pull over the vehicle in the 1200 block of S. Blackhawk Rd., but Oregon State Police say the driver continued driving.

The vehicle reportedly continued westbound back through Oregon, where Ogle County Sheriff’s deputies attempted to pull it over. Oregon State Police say the driver abandoned the vehicle near the railroad tracks in the area of ​​Collins Street. The police searched the area for the suspects, but were unable to find them.
