Ohio police seek help locating vehicle involved in double fatal crash

MEDINA COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) – According to a release, the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) responded to a fatal double crash Thursday evening and is searching for the vehicle involved in the crash.

According to the report, the crash happened at 10:12 pm on I-71 near pole 206 in Westfield Township.

OSHP said its preliminary investigation revealed a Volvo commercial vehicle was traveling southbound on I-71 when it failed in the right lane.

A southbound 2018 Chevrolet Trax struck the vehicle, then an unknown third vehicle struck the Volvo and fled.

The driver of the Chevrolet, Mark D. McGraw, 73, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.

The 68-year-old driver of the Volvo, David N. Brown, also died at the scene.

OSHP said the unknown vehicle is believed to be a maroon or red commercial vehicle with heavy damage to the passenger and driver side of the vehicle.
