Authorities are seeking information about a bald-eye man who was shot in the Idaho Panhandle

Authorities are seeking information about a bald eagle that was shot in the Idaho Panhandle between Dec. 24 and Dec. 26.

Idaho Fish and Game says the eagle was shot near Sunnyside Road, near Fisherman’s Island on Lake Pend Oreille.

It was reported about the injured bird, which was found alive. After a medical examination, the bird was put to sleep. An autopsy revealed steel BBs throughout the body.

Bald eagles are protected in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Bald Eagles and Golden Eagles.
