Jealous rage leads a man to shoot his ex-wife, kill her new girlfriend,

LAS VEGAS, Nevada A man was arrested Friday after he fatally shot a woman and wounded another near Blanton and Sachs Drive, according to the Las Vegas Police Department.

Officers responded to a 911 call around 4:44 p.m. from a man who said he had shot someone at the scene. Upon arriving at the scene, police found two cars stopped on the street with two women suffering from gunshot wounds.

One woman was pronounced dead at the scene, and the second victim was taken to Sunrise Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Adrian Rodriguez-Guillen, who was taken into custody at the scene without incident.

Detectives determined that Rodriguez-Guillen approached his ex-wife and her girlfriend, got out of the car and opened fire on both women before calling police.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the deceased victim’s identity and official cause of death.

The LVMPD Homicide Unit is leading the ongoing investigation.
