A serious accident is reported on Egypt Road near the Raymond Gray town line

A section of Egypt Road in Raymond is closed due to a serious accident.

A Cumberland County dispatcher said drivers are being asked to avoid the area of 302 Egypt Road, which is near the Raymond-Gray town line.

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that deputies are on the scene, but did not release any details about the crash.

Maine State Police are assisting the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at the scene, according to a state police spokesman.
