VGK announces details for First Noche de LosVGK on November 2nd

VEGAS (October 28, 2024) – The Vegas Golden Knights announced their first team details today, October 28 Noche de LosVGK game on Saturday, Nov. 2 at T-Mobile Arena. Vegas will take on Utah Hockey at 7:00 p.m. PT. Building on the Hispanic Heritage Knights that the team previously hosted, Noche de LosVGK offers expanded programming that will represent and celebrate all corners of the team’s Hispanic and Latino fan base.

“Although our work with LosVGK continues throughout the year, especially to dedicate a night at the Fortress to honor Hispanic and Latino culture,” said Benjamin Thomasdirector of Latin American marketing and advertising for the Vegas Golden Knights. “We are thrilled with the rebranding of Noche de LosVGK and are confident that it will be the largest and most inclusive celebration of its kind that the Golden Knights have ever hosted.”

Noche de LosVGK falls on Dia de los Muertos weekend, and VGK’s shield logo takes the form of a traditional sugar skull as a sign of respect. This graphic and the LosVGK logo are both designed by a Golden Knights employee Stephanie Suominenwho is of Colombian origin – will be featured throughout the event.

Entertainment at Toshiba Plaza and T-Mobile Arena on Saturday will include face painting, folkloric dancers, mariachi bands and DJ Yo Yoli performance at Knight Club’s second intermission. The first intermission at Mites at Knight will feature players ages 7-12 from the Metepec Buffalos hockey program in Mexico. President and head coach of the Mexican Hockey Federation Diego de la Garma will turn on the siren before the game. Also expected to participate:

• A well-known model, TV presenter and longtime girlfriend of the UFC Octagon Arianna Celeste
• Latin American influencer Anna Saya

Saturday’s game will also be featured ofrendaan altar shown during the Día de los Muertos celebration, which is meant to welcome the deceased at the altar. We invite fans to take a photo in front of LosVHK on the theme ofrenda.

The Vegas Golden Knights introduced the LosVGK brand in October 2023 to further celebrate and engage the team’s Hispanic and Hispanic fan base. This September, LosVGK made its first international trip, a six-day visit to Mexico City, Metepec and Monterrey called LosVGK en México (video recording, article). These stops included ice and ball hockey clinics, a Fan Festival and a day spent with pediatric patients with the Dr. Sonrisas Foundation. Last year, the LosVGK initiative also translated hockey instruction, hosted numerous ball hockey clinics, launched a merchandise line in team stores, and designed and installed a LosVGK mural in the city’s arts district.
