A CAFE owner has hit back at trolls who called her outfit “inappropriate” after a TV appearance.

Kate Carter-Langowner of the St Andrews Cafe The Cheesy Toast Shackshe was joined by her husband, Sam Large, as they cooked mac and cheese Saturday kitchen.

But some BBC One Onlookers were turned away from the guest chef in a strapless low cut paired with jeans and a brown belt.

Taking to X, formerly of Twitter, one hater fumed: “She changed into that top to cook?!”

Another wrote: “One guest is dressed for summer… Did Kate just come back from a party?”

Someone else said: “I can’t concentrate on the show because I’m worried her top will fall off.

“She pulls and tugs on him as he continues to slide.”

A fourth added: “I know…unacceptable dress code.”

And the fifth connected: “Problems with the wardrobe can definitely divert attention from the show itself.

“Hopefully this will be resolved quickly so everyone, including her, can feel better.”

Kate’s mum has since remained in disbelief over the hate her outfit has sparked.

“It’s not that I wore thongs and nipple tassels – but that’s how everyone reacts,” she said. Star.

Kate bought her new top after ordering a TV slot, but only tried it on “for five minutes”.

It wasn’t until she was on the air that she realized it “kept going down” and that it was too late to change.

But she insists she “feels good” in the outfit and won’t dress to please judgmental strangers.

Talking to Couriershe said: “I went for a dark color and never thought for a minute that my arms or shoulders would twist people’s panties so much.

“When I was choosing my outfit, I was thinking about the fact that I’m going on TV and BBC1, so I’m going to wear something that makes me feel really good.

“And I felt really good. And if I did it again, I would probably wear the same thing.

“This is 2024, not 1950. I can wear whatever I want. I am a business owner, I am a woman. I can wear what I want.

“My husband loves me and he doesn’t care if I wear a garbage bag or a strapless top.”

She added: “You would never go back to people who leave horrible comments and tell them to shut up.

“You don’t argue with fools, so it’s best to laugh at them.

Kate has since been inundated with messages of support from social media users urging her to ignore the envious trolls.

“Someone had a green-eyed monster, you looked great,” insisted one.
