The Calabash River Bridge project will be completed next year

CALABASH, NC (WECT) – A project in Calabash is scheduled to be completed within the next year.

The Calabash River Bridge project is 69 percent complete, NCDOT officials said. All spans are installed, the contractor is preparing to pour the surface of the bridge deck, curb and gutter.

The completion of the project is expected by May 1, 2025.

Drivers can still detour onto Old Georgetown Road, Seaside Road, Sunset Boulevard and Shoreline Drive for alternate routes.
