Netflix’s new Moments feature lets you save and share clips from your favorite episodes

If you’ve ever struggled to explain the second scene from your favorite Netflix show or movie because you couldn’t find the clip online, a streamer just found the solution.

Netflix launched on Monday a new clipping feature called Moments in the iOS app that lets you quickly save your favorite scenes. Now you can easily view those scenes or share them on social media with one tap. Your followers can click on the post and go to that scene in their own Netflix app.

To save a scene, select Moments at the bottom of the screen. It will then be saved to your My Netflix tab for later viewing. If you restart the episode, it will start from the saved scene.

Clip sharing is a popular way for fans to capture memorable moments from their favorite shows, but Netflix places restrictions on taking screenshots or screen recording while streaming. There are many schematic programs and software that can be used instead; however, not everyone wants to take the risk. This feature is also a much better alternative to recording the TV screen with your phone, which often results in grainy, low-quality video.

Netflix’s new feature comes as the streaming giant appears to be exploring innovative ways to drive growth in a highly competitive market.
