Teenage girl sexually assaulted at Clydebank bus stop as police chase man

An investigation has been launched after a teenage girl was sexually assaulted at a bus stop in Clydebank.

The 15-year-old girl was at a bus stop on Faifley Road, near the junction with Langfaulds Crescent and Langside Street, at around 9pm on Saturday when she was approached by a man who touched her inappropriately.

The man is described as 5ft 8in to 5ft 10in tall, of thin build, with light gray hair and a moustache.

He was wearing a black puffer jacket, black pants, black sneakers or boots.

Detective Constable Georgia Callander said: “We are working to trace the person responsible and are appealing for anyone who can help to come forward.

“I would also like to ask anyone in the area at the time who may have dashcam footage to get in touch.

“Everyone who has information can call 101, quoting incident number 3883 or 7 December 2024 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.’
