Manchester United have parted ways with Ten Hague after an unsuccessful spell at the Premier League giants. He will be replaced by temporary club legend Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

The Dutchman took over as Ajax manager midway through the 2017/18 campaign and led the team to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League the following season.

That year, Ten Heg also claimed his first trophy as a manager, winning the league and cup.

In January 2022, he became the fastest manager to reach 100 league wins with Ajax, achieving the feat in just 128 matches.

Ten Hague’s first season in English football was impressive. He led them to the UEFA Champions League and ended a six-year trophy drought by winning the EFL Cup.

Manchester United, led by Ten Hague, also beat the finalists in the 2023 FA Cup final.

In his second season at Old Trafford, United finished eighth in the 2023/24 Premier League, their lowest finish in the competition, but beat Man City 2-1 to win the FA Cup final.
