The institution said that following an anonymous complaint, an institutional inquiry committee found seven second-year MBBS 2023 students involved in the robbery of their students on November 26, 2024.

“These students were rude to their juniors, took them to a private residence and made them stand for long periods of time, used foul language and forced them to do academic assignments. They did not cause any bodily harm,” the college said.

A meeting of the anti-vandalism committee held on December 3 under the chairmanship of college principal Dr. Rajiv Tuli decided to suspend these students from the college for three months from December 4. In addition, a monetary fine in the amount 75,000 has to be contributed by each student.

The students were also barred from attending or representing the institution in any cultural, sporting activity at the regional, national and international levels for one year.
