Gregg Wallace’s revealing remark about wife’s ‘jealousy’ over Strictly stunner | Celebrity News | Show business and television

TV presenter Greg Wallace previously joked that his wife Anne-Marie Sterpini would be jealous of him spending time with his dance partner on Strictly dance.

When Gregg, 60, took part in the show in 2014, he was paired with professional dancer Alyona Vilani, 40, but was eliminated after just two performances.

At the time, Gregg revealed that Ann-Marie, 38, who he affectionately calls Anna, had doubts about him “spending so much time with another woman.”

In an interview with the Daily Star, Gregg shared: “My girlfriend was happy that I did it (strictly), but she’s not sure how she’ll feel about me spending so much time with another woman. She’d be happy if I was One thing she’s already told me is that she can’t promise she won’t be jealous.’

Gregg echoed that sentiment in another interview, saying Anna told him he would be “jealous” if things were reversed, adding: “She knows I’m not going to do anything, but she said, ‘I can’t promise, that I will not do it.’ be jealous.” She said, “You would be jealous if I were with a young man.”

Recently, Gregg Wallace talked about the possibility of an affair with his Strictly dance partner Aliona Vilani, especially after an old rehearsal clip showed Aliona expressing her anguish when Gregg ripped open his pants, revealing his lack of underwear.

Writing in the Telegraph, Gregg insisted: “I know Strictly has spawned a lot of romances, but I love my Anna very much and I can safely say that there is no chemistry between me and (Alyona),” reports Mirror.

Interest in Gregg’s time on Strictly has reignited following the announcement that he has temporarily stepped down from MasterChef amid an investigation by Banijay UK into alleged historical misconduct claims.

Last week, it was reported that Gregg was accused of making inappropriate sexual comments, which his lawyers vehemently denied as “completely false that he engages in sexual conduct.”

There were also reports that BBC complaints were reported about Gregg’s alleged behavior during his time on Strictly ten years ago. The Sun reports that “at least one member” of the Strictly team raised concerns with show bosses at the time, prompting internal meetings to discuss the matter.

Despite the complaints, Gregg continued to work in the series until he was eliminated in the first round of the season.

Last week, news broke that Greg Wallace would be taking a break from MasterChef amid an investigation into allegations from 13 people that he made sexually suggestive remarks. The alleged incidents span 17 years and involve various programs.

In response to the news, Gregg said in a video statement: “I’ve been on MasterChef for 20 years – amateur, celebrity and professional MasterChef – and I think in that time I’ve worked with over 4,000 contestants of all ages, all different. (and) all walks of life, and I think I’m reading in the paper now that there were 13 complaints during that time.”

He went on to comment on the nature of the allegations, saying: “I see complaints in the paper now that come from a few middle-class women of a certain age, just from Celebrity Masterchef. This is wrong. (… ) In over 20 years of television, can you imagine how many women, participants, have made sexual remarks or sexual innuendos on MasterChef?

Wallace later apologized for any offense his words caused, saying in the following statement: “I want to apologize for any offense I caused with my post yesterday and any upset I may have caused to many. to people I wasn’t in a good space when I posted this, I was under a lot of stress, a lot of emotions, I felt very alone, under siege yesterday when I posted this, it’s obvious to me that now, while this investigation is going on, I hope that you will understand and I hope you will accept this apology.’

Banijay UK issued a statement last week saying: “This week BBC have received complaints from individuals regarding historical allegations of misconduct while working with host Gregg Wallace on one of our shows. Although these complainants have not made allegations directly against our show producers or parent company Banijay UK, we believe it is appropriate to conduct an immediate external review for a full and impartial investigation.”

The statement went on to explain Gregg Wallace’s temporary departure: “While the review is ongoing, Gregg Wallace will be stepping back from his role on MasterChef and is committed to cooperating fully throughout the process. Banijay UK’s duty of care to staff is always a priority and our expectations of behavior are clearly explained to both cast and crew in all productions, with various ways to raise concerns, including anonymously, clearly advertised on set.”

AND BBC spokesperson also addressed the issue: “We take any issues that come our way seriously and we have robust processes in place to deal with them. We are always clear that any behavior that does not meet the standards expected BBC will not tolerate Where an individual contracts directly with an external production company, we share any complaints or concerns with that company and will always support them in their resolution.’
