Two officers of Moradabad Jail suspended for irregular meetings

LUCKNOW: The Uttar Pradesh Jail Headquarters on Wednesday suspended two officials lodged in Moradabad jail for violating protocol.
Senior jail officials told TOI that jailer Vikram Singh Yadav and deputy jailer Praveen Singh were arranging unauthorized meetings for persons arrested in connection with the Sambhal violence and associated with political groups.

Regarding both officers, a departmental investigation has been launched to establish the facts of the violation.
At the same time, the department also recommended an investigation against the head of Moradabad prison P. P. Singh.
Officials said strict measures would be taken to ensure compliance with prison rules and prevent abuse of power in important cases.
