Timothée Chalamet sent fans into a frenzy with his surprise appearance at the Timothée Chalamet Lookalike Contest, but the excitement stopped after the police intervened.

On Sunday, October 27, videos circulated on social media showing a lively scene in New York’s Washington Square Park, where participants donned costumes depicting the 28-year-old Hollywood heartthrob’s iconic characters, including Willy Wonka from Wonka and Bob Dylan from his upcoming biopic Complete obscurity.

As fans posed with their placards and placards, Chalamet emerged from the crowd to join the unofficial competition.

Fans were in complete shock as he waved, waved and posed for photos, totally embracing the moment.

However, the excitement quickly died down when officers from the New York Police Department arrived to try to disperse the crowd for gathering without a permit.

This was later confirmed by a police representative NBC News that at least one person was detained and challenged.

Additionally, a video posted by an attendee on X, formerly Twitter, claimed that the organizer of the event had been arrested, further adding to the chaos.
