York Coney Street Riverside for £88m

The Coney Street masterplan, led by a York-based property specialist, sees an £88m mixed-use retail, leisure, commercial and residential development along the River Ouse.

Building work for zones 2-4 is estimated at around £56m. This includes the conversion of existing buildings and new building elements of 3 to 6 storeys in height across four connected sites.

The approved scheme consists of zones 2-4

The riverside walkway will be established both on the waterfront itself and by creating and rejuvenating the historic walkways and transitions between Coney Street and the river.

Located within York’s Central Conservation Area, the site comprises 19-33 Coney Street and 39 Coney Street to 2 Spurriergate and includes four listed buildings and two landmark buildings, as well as being in close proximity to a number of other notable buildings and important buildings.
