Clementi murder: Suspect returned to crime scene where he allegedly killed volunteer

SINGAPORE. The suspect in Clementi’s murder was brought back to the scene of the crime on October 28.

Surrounded by five police officers, To Chi Hong, 50, arrived at Unit 311C Clementi Avenue 4 at around 10.20am.

He was handed over the murder charges for the alleged killing of Mr Vinson Hoo Chin Wah, 41, Oct. 21 in the 311B block of Clementi Avenue 4.

Dressed in a red polo shirt, black shorts and slippers, To lowered his head as he walked past media and members of the public gathered at the border.

The one whose hands and feet were shackled was led to an empty deck and taken an elevator to a block on level 19, which was blocked off to the media.

At approximately 11:15 a.m., seven police officers brought To to an empty deck near the playground.

He was asked there as he lowered his eyes and nodded.

He also pointed to the ground and officers placed a marker near the drain.

Then around 11:30 he was brought to a multi-storey car park. At that time, more than 50 people gathered around the police encirclement.

About 10 minutes later, Toh was taken to a black car with no identification marks and left the scene.

The exact weapon used in the alleged killing was not identified in court documents.

However, in resident video of the incident, the suspect appears to have struck the victim several times with a small object at the foot of Unit 311B.

The People’s Association (PA) said Mr Hu was a mass volunteer.
