A man was arrested after he threatened to stab a Taco Bell employee

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Police say a man was arrested after he reportedly pulled a knife to threaten a Taco Bell employee when he was denied entry to the restaurant.

Officials say employees told Andrew Leach, 38, that he could not enter the store to order food, but could place an order through the drive-thru.

They say Leach ignored the workers and went inside to order food.

When employees asked him to leave, authorities say Leach left and stood in front of the main door with a knife, telling the employee he was going to stab them.

Police later found Leach walking in a nearby parking lot, where they found him with a box cutter.

After the employee confirmed that Leach was the one who threatened them with the knife, officers arrested Leach not only for intimidation with a deadly weapon, but also for three outstanding warrants.

Leach is currently being held at the Vanderburgh County Detention Center on $1,750 bond.
