Students discuss the new criminal law with the police

The management of the Central University of Haryana (CUH) has launched a special program in collaboration with the district police, under which its law students will be able to discuss the new criminal law with police officers posted at various police stations in the district and learn about their functioning.

Dr Pardeep Singh, Dean and Head of CUH’s Faculty of Law, said the students would work with police officers to gain a practical understanding of how to enforce these laws. Trainings, lectures and seminars will also be organized as part of the program, he added.

“The innovative partnership is expected to enhance students’ understanding of the criminal justice system and provide them with practical experience of applying theoretical knowledge to real-world situations,” said Professor Sunil Kumar, Secretary of CUH.

Rakesh Meena, Faculty of Law at CUH, said the collaboration would foster mutual learning, growth and development, ultimately contributing to a more efficient and effective criminal justice system.
