Kendrick Rayvon Fisher charged in Houston stabbing death of woman and 2-year-old daughter on Richmond Avenue: Texas police

HOUSTON — Texas authorities have confirmed that the man has been charged stabbing death of a mother and her baby.

Kendrick Rayvon Fisher, 29, faces a charge of capital murder.

The Houston Police Department said the stabbing happened at an apartment on Richmond Avenue in west Houston on Friday shortly after 3 a.m. local time.

According to HPD, someone alerted police that a woman and child were being held hostage in an apartment.

When police arrived, they said they found Fisher asleep on the couch.

After conducting an inspection of the apartment, the police reported that a 28-year-old mother and her 2-year-old boy were found with multiple stab wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

At the time of the arrest, HPD said Fisher was found with injuries consistent with a physical altercation, as well as blood on his clothing.

He was booked into the Harris County Jail.

According to the police, the medical examiner will inform the family members of the identity of the deceased.

It is unclear what Fisher’s relationship was with the victims.
