The heroic soldier who saved 4 teenagers received the rank of staff sergeant

A brave soldier who risked his life to save four teenagers from drowning in a lake in Puncak Alam, Selangor last Sunday has been promoted to Staff Sgt.

The title was conferred on Mohd Nor Khalid of the 41st Royal Artillery (Ceremonial) Camp Sungai Bulo by Army Commander Muhammad Hafizuddin Jantan at a short ceremony at Wisma Pertahanan in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Commenting on Noor’s bravery, Hafizuddin said the promotion was in appreciation and recognition of the servicemen’s services in saving civilian lives in emergency situations.
