A man was shot dead in San Jose, police said

SAN JOSE, CA – A man was found shot to death Sunday morning in San Jose, police said.

Shots were fired shortly before 2:40 a.m. in the 100 block of South Second Street. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene found a man with a gunshot wound.

Despite all efforts, he died at the scene, the police said. The homicide is San Jose’s 26th of 2024.

It is not known what circumstances led to the shooting. No arrests have been made, and no suspect description has been released.
