Local police discovered an illegal garbage dump in the Tiber River

After the initial analysis of the footage, which shows how a truck dumps garbage in the middle of the night on the bank of the river on the street. Lungotevere in Augustaofficers launched a thorough investigation that led to the identification not only of the individuals directly involved in the illegal dumping, but also of a contractor company that, in addition to carrying out unauthorized excavations in the Tiber river bed, facilitated the illegal disposal by instructing companies specifically for collection operations and waste management.

According to the results of operational and investigative actions, the law enforcement officers informed about two Italian citizens, 47 and 57 years old, who, acting with consent, are involved in illegal actions related to the uncontrolled leaving of special waste in the Tiber river bed, with repeated operations. illegal handling of construction waste by unauthorized collection and transport of materials produced by third parties, using the same trucks, which then proceeded with illegal disposal into the river.

After a thorough investigation, it was also possible to identify and report a third person, the owner of the contractor company, an 80-year-old Italian citizen, who instructed two persons to carry out unauthorized waste transportation and handling activities. the subsequent abandonment of materials and construction waste in the Tiber, taken from the construction site he owned, irregularly activated in violation of the rules for the protection of the safety of hydraulic engineering works.
