A man faces several charges after a shooting involving teenagers

KINGSTON, Jamaica. A 33-year-old man faces multiple charges, including wounding with intent, following a shooting incident in which two teenage boys were reportedly shot.

According to Kingston Police East Division detectives, David Taylor, also known as “Pelpa,” the operator of a farm store on Rock Jam Road, opened fire on a man and two teenage boys on Monday, Sept. 18, on Kingston 2.

Taylor allegedly got out of a Honda Fit and opened fire on the trio.

A man and a 15-year-old boy were injured during the shelling. Another teenager, 16 years old, managed to escape unharmed. The injured were hospitalized for medical treatment.

In addition to the assault charges, Taylor is also charged with first degree shooting, illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition.

His court date has not yet been set.
