AND jealous thai man committed a physical attack on his lover today in a rented room in the central province of Prachin Buri, and ended up butchered to death by her

Thitinan, a 22-year-old Thai woman, called the officers Si Maha Pho Police Station to the scene today, November 28, around 12:45 a.m. after she stabbed her lover, Samarth, 31, to death. Channel 8 reported that Titinan was seen crying near Samart’s body when police arrived

According to the police report, Samarth had a severe stab wound to his neck and a cut on his hand. A 15cm bloodstained knife was found near Titinan’s room, which had been left open with various items scattered on the floor.

Titinan told police that she had been drinking with her friends outside her room. She then excused herself to use the restroom and returned to find Samarth at the scene.

Samarth did not inform her in advance that he would visit her that day and immediately began to complain after seeing her socializing with male friends.

Titinan claimed that she distanced herself from Samarth after she came to know that he was already married. She asked Samarth to leave and ended the relationship. Then she went into her room and locked the door to keep him out.

Samarth cut through the mosquito net on the door and burst into her room. They were engaged in a heated argument where Samarth physically attacked her.

Titinan then grabbed Samart’s knife and stabbed him in the neck. Samarth ran out of the room to seek help, but later died of his injuries on the street tenement.

Although Titinan claimed fatal stabbing was an act of self-defense, the police charged her with premeditated murder under Article 288 of the Criminal Code. For his actions, Titinan may face the death penalty, life imprisonment or imprisonment for a period of 15 to 20 years.

In a related incident reported in August, a Thai woman stabbed her husband to death with scissors at their home in Isaan Buriram province after he became aggressive and alcoholic towards her and her parents.
